tripletime stamping

I've seen this technique before, first  on Technique Tuesday and several blogs since then, but never actually tried it until today - it is this week's challenge on 52cct which provided the spur I needed.
It didn't help matters that I used the SU watercolour winter set of stamps - it's a lovely set, but I've never been too successful with the two-stamp technique, and I wasn't today - this is the best version, and even that had some remedial work with a matching marker!
I cut white  card out to 4.5,4 ad 3.5 inches square, temporarily glued them together with tombow glue, then stamped. Foliage used pear pizazz, old olive and crumb cake inks, flowers primrose petals (apparently some American primroses are pink) and raspberry ripple.
I also added some summer starfruit marker and glitter glue to the centres of the flowers, though it doesn't show up well. Once everything was dry, separate the white layers, and mount onto red card 4.75,4.25 and 3.75 inches square ( I used cherry cobbler) and then onto a square card base from gumball green card. I'm still thinking about whether to add a sentiment.........................

  1. I haven't seen that technique where the layers are framed, but it has made a lovely card. I would have to add a small sentiment, but then, I'm no good with white space. Some people love it. So really it depends on whether you are happy with it as it is. Either way I like it! Kate x

  2. I've not seen this technique before vronnie but its very effective. I think I might add a sentiment but I'm not sure it would depend what it looked like

  3. Love the card, having a go at this technique too but still in the prep stage at the moment, wish me luck. I think it would look just as good with or without a sentiment, the colours are great.

  4. I was so intrigued by this - followed the links & am now itching to have a go but the time elves have been stealing it again. Super colours with this & I love the way the olive green sets it off - if you'd not said I'd not have noticed any remedial work; hooray for marker remedies!!

  5. I've not seen this done before Veonica but I think you've made a fabulous job of it. I love those stamps too and the colours are quite stunning together.

I know my visits have been thin on the ground again recently so I hope you and your Hubby are keeping well now.

  11. This is fabulous - and your first time trying this technique - wow! Love the clean uncluttered feel of this. Hmmm, a sentiment would look good I think but then your card looks fab as it is!
Thanks so much for playing along with us at 52 {C}CT & I hope you join us again very soon! Ruth x
