this is a card for two challenges I haven't entered before - St Luke's Charity and Forgotten Friday - both of which have sat on the to-do list each week without actually anything happening.
During the on-going clear-up of the craft room - admittedly very slow going there!- I came across this poppy stamp by Funstamps, which must have been among the first stamps I bought more years ago than I  care to remember; as I love poppies, it was never going on the 'dump' pile. The St Luke's challenge is for a black and white card with one colour, so that was the colour scheme sorted, and Judith's Forgotten Friday is self-explanatory!
The background uses a collection of assorted stamps from Chocolate Baroque - the far ones were from the teeny meadow set, and I think the front ones were from eastern grasses - poppy was coloured with promarkers.

  1. Gorgeous card, poppies are so universally popular aren't they?, such a striking colour.I love the corner arrangement. Jean x

  2. I love those poppies they are just gorgeous. Hugs x ChrisB

  3. Poppies are always appealing and I like what you've done with this card and managed two challenges at the same time - well done. Definitely a stamp to keep and good luck with your tidying - a losing battle I fear. It is with me anyway!!

  4. Gorgeous card Veronica and those poppies really 'pop out' at you.
Thank for joining in our challenge over at St Lukes, hope to see you again next time.

  5. Great card for our B&W +1 challenge - the red poppies really pop against the black and white stamped background.
Thanks so much for joining us at St Luke's Charity Cards Challenge - I hope you'll be back to play again :-D
