poppy heart

today's share is a card using pretty poppies from Chocolate Baroque. I love poppies, and for this one I coloured them the tradional red although I love the big blue variety.

The main image was stamped onto a  piece of white card coloured with brusho powders, painted using clearcolor pens  and then glued onto a whiteboard heart and trimmed.

The background was created using distress oxide inks, stencils from Lavinia and Aall & create and another poppy image from the same set, as is the sentiment

I would like ti add this to the tripleB challenge -birds/blooms/butterflies

butterfly moon

Another post using images from the lovely new  Over the Moon stamps by Fiona Randall for Chocolate Baroque,  - the stamps will be on the website this week.

This was on an 8"x8" base card blank, so quite large. I stamped the smaller image four times, offsetting two of them slightly from the centre. The card background was coloured with distress oxide inks - tumbled glass, broken china and chipped sapphire. Added part of a stencil from Aall&create in the corners using chipped sapphire again and parts of one of the sentiment stamps from the set randomly stamped in the gaps.

The butterfly was stamped twice onto spare card, coloured using cleancolor pens. The flower and leafy bits of the background images were also coloured to match. The butterflies were fussy cut out and glued into place across the centre with foam pads under the wings to give a bit of dimension

matchbox

Something a bit out of my comfort zone today! Having bought some matchbox kits from Tando Creative, I decided to use one with the gorgeous new stamps designed by Fiona Randall for Chocolate Baroque. The set I used was reach for the sun, which isn't on their  website yet, but is on the Create & Craft site

The matchbox went together easily and  i painted it black.then stencilled stars and part of a ray image randomly before brushing gold paint round the edges.
I stamped the sun onto black card using versamark ink and embossed it in copper, then fussy cut it out. and painted the ionner ring with sparkly silver watercolour. stamped and embossed again onto white card and cut out the sunface. Glued into place, added the sentiment cut into halves

Did the same for the back of the box,
but using the moon image this time
without the silver paint.
The other stamps from the set were stamped directly onto the painted tiles and embossed in copper

Things to remember for next time
1 buy the larger size box!
2 use brighter colours

memory candle

I made a memory candle using the Over the rainbow stamp set from Chocolate Baroque - the silhouette worked out nicely as we have had 2 all-black cats in the past!

Very easy to do, stamp onto white tissue paper, colour with pens then heat seal; onto the candle.

remember your pet day

Apparently Wednesday 5th July is Remember Your Pet Day - surprising what pops up on facebook, but fits in nicely with my shares today!

I loved using the new- last -month stamps designed by Donna St Pierre for Chocolate Baroque, Heavenly Pets and Over the rainbow and these are some of my makes

The first card uses stamps from over the rainbow, with the rainbow stamped onto a scrap of paper coloured with brusho powders and white embossed. This was cut into an arch shape before the cutout silhouette cat was added. The dog was stamped onto the base card blank along with the sentiment add the arch shape glued on

Here the rainbow was stmaped opnto another brusho background and coloured with pens after stamping the cat. the pawprints in the background are from the same set, as is the sentiment.

Here the three silhouettes were stamped onto another piece of brusho background that uses the feather image from I shall be your wings - sorry, I do love my brusho powders!
They are here again , this time with the feather from Heavenly pets stamped and embossed in white and the dog image cutout and added

The final two cards use the main images from heavenly pets, with brusho again for the background of the dog.The rainbpw image was stamped over this, then the dog angel stamped onto spare card, coloured with pencils and fussy cut out then glued in place.

The cat image was just stamped onto white card and coloured with pencils, but you haven't escaped the brusho curse as the background uses another piece of brusho coloured card

Often it is difficult to know what to use if you want to send a card to someone who has lost a treasured furry friend, but these stamps are perfect

magnolias

This time a card using the magnolia stamp from Chocolate Baroque again - and this time I have used it the right way up!

The background was created with brusho powders, using leaf green and turquoise on drawing cartridge and cut down to fit a 8"square card blank.

The magnolia was stamped twice down the left side using grey versafine ink. Once the ink was dry, I used bleach on the blossoms and then coloured the image using zig clearcolour pens.

Stamped the magnolia twice onto smooth white card, coloured and fussycut out, then layered over the first images

March candles

I am addicted to decorating candles, and last month's samples for Chocolate Baroque included two candles.

The first was a candle and matching box using the lovely magnolia stamps from Happy Flowers Day-- and yes, I do know that magnolia flowers are upright, I just like them hanging down|

I did use the stamp both ways on the box, though......i used zig brushpens to colour the images, they blend beautifully

My second candle used the Year of Stamping
 image for
April, featuring butterflies - I left the background plain and just coloured the butterflies with the zig pens again-  this was a larger candle as the stamp is roughly 6" square.

It looks quite different below as a card using brusho powder in grey!

hummingbird

a card to share today using the hummingbird image from A vase full of love by Chocolate Baroque.  The stamps was inked with distress oxide pads in salvaged patina and wilted violet and spritzed with water before stamping. Normally I would have overstamped in grey ink to add definition , but this time I decided to leave it as it was - I really liked the pastel effect

timeless

The saying that older you get the faster time flies is defintely true - at least for me! I meant to add this after the February 3 shows by Chocolate Baroque on Create and craft tv,  and just got round to doing it ...........

This 8x8 card uses a black mount stamped with the dandelion heads from an older set  fragrant honeysuckle and embossed in white and the main image from timeless stamped onto a jigsaw card piece. The jigsaw was partly completed and the remaining pieces scattered about.

imagination

Really loved playing with these  stamps from Chocolate Baroque and usiing up a brusho background from my stash at the same time was a bonus!  The background was one of those mop-up pieces that didn't work at the time,. but the drippy effect just fitted this time.

The capital letters were from just useful, but I separated the letters and stamped  them fairly randomly , then outlined them with a fine line pen. The sentiment is from loud and proud, which isn't on the Chocolate Baroque website yet, but is available from Create and Craft
