There is a sketch challenge this week at Simply stampin, and this is my version.
Square base card is old olive, cut down from A4, and the backing started out as whisper white randomly overstamped with stamps from French foliage in certainly celery and pear pizazzz inks. The tree from Lovely as a tree was stamped in black on white, punched along the bottom with the spiral punch, then torn along the sides. The edges that weren't punched were inked with old olive and crumb cake to make the stamped panel stand out a bit. The ribbon is old olive grosgrain.
Veronica, this is lovely and such great stamping .Sorry I have not commented for a while, I have been busy with Family. I am now catching up on posts and your creations lately have been FAB !!Great work.

Lovely card, Vron. Your background is gorgeous and sets off the oak tree beautifully. Lovely green too.

Super multilayered background stamping & I love the colours - green always wins in my book. Using black for the main image is very effective - making it really prominent, I'll have to remember that as I'd have used very dark green instinctively. Thanks for making me think.

ReplyDeleteLove the card Veronica. The tree looks good, I have that stampset but haven't used it very much . I must dust it off and use it .
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely background, I love the distressed look! These stamp sets work perfectly together don't they, (funnily enough I posted a card using these sets together today too!)
