bah humbug want a shaped card this week - I ended up with this one after trying to make a rocker card with an oval die and failing miserably (well, I did end up with an ok one, but it was sooo small...........). Mind you, this one isn't too wonderful - the faulty cutting really showed up on the scan, so obviously I should have measured it rather than just cutting round the original shape!
The stamp is by Stampin-up (assume it is an old one) , and came in a batch of Christmassy stamps from ebay - this and a santa were the ones that caught my eye originally, although I started out looking for more angel stamps.............. Anyhow, it was coloured with watercolour pencils after stamping with black memento ink before being cut out and matted onto white glitter card
Interesting shape here - somewhere between a hexagon and an octagon and that's certainly a great stamp.
ReplyDeleteHi Veronica - this is a lovely card so I don't know what you're talking about.......!!! It works really well with this Stampin Up stamp which is only a couple of years old - the sentiment which goes with it is lovely as well but don't know if you managed to get that as well. Your colouring is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI do like this stamp Vronnie, and the way you have coloured it.Very nice. Jean x
ReplyDeleteJust my favourite sort of Christmas card! It is lovely in every way. I might have to get that stamp now ...

ReplyDeleteHi Veronica
ReplyDeleteI am so struggling to visit everyone's blogs at the moment. Just back from holiday, washing - ironing - work - eeeeeeeeeek just can't fit it all in. So glad I've got a little blog hopping time though or I would have missed this little beauty. Love your scene - clicked and enlarged to get a better look. So peaceful - love it.

Bah! Humbug! DT
Well after reading Aquarius' comment I feel compelled to let you know it's a heptagon(I'm full of useless information)!! And you're right about the stamp too Veronica, it is retired but isn't it lovely! It's one of my faves for Christmas & actually I've used it for a birthday too (just needs the right colours;-).
ReplyDeleteOops, I'm rambling again lol, sorry! I think it's beautiful, the shape is just perfect for the images. Thanks so much for playing along with the Bah Humbug challenge x
This is lovely Veronica. Beautifully coloured image (I clicked for close up, lol) and I like the unusual shape.
